(it looks like Harry and Meghan are also trapped now as they are moving to live in BC, Canada) You should check out the rest of the Beautiful British Columbia section for more A-mazing photos. you'll be packing-up for BC tomorrow!

At least in our Beautiful British Columbia there is so much to do and so much to see. and nature + fresh air are one of the best in the World! we travel a lot, so I am confident BC is the best place to live. Winter hikes are so much fun. I have done a few in India but these trails in Vancouver look so much fun. Will surely visit them when I am in Canada.

Alright! You’ve convinced me. I need to make a trip to Vancouver to experience all this greatness!

I love hiking in the winter since the there tends to be less people and the snow makes everything look so magical.

Great post and I’ll definitely be referring to it when I make my way up there.

This is an awesome post, it’s a great guide to many trail opportunities. I loved seeing those amazing towering red cedars. I remember taking a boat out to an island by Torino that had some of the oldest and largest cedars. I need to return to BC!

thank you and yes! we’ve done Teapot Hill already last summer and it was absolutely spectacular! my [then] 3yo was so excited, he actually hiked the whole trail with NO compaining! we counted over 100 teapots, cups and saucers! here is my post about it: http://perfectdaytoplay.com/teapot-hill-cultus-lake-chilliwack/

Never been to Canada. It needs huge amount of time to travel around Canada and it’s high on my bucket list. Your hiking tips are absolutely amazing. Hopefully some day in future I can make it to Vancouver as well as Alberta.

Oooh what a fab post! I have done quite a few of these and I totally agree, Vancouver is still fabulous in the wintertime! We do keep hiking all year ’round (although recently we hike a bit less in winter as we want to go skiing too…)

I didn’t explore enough in Coquitlam, as I have not even been to Crystal Falls. That looks beautiful! I totally agree about Buntzen Lake. It’s one of my favourite spots too.

One more, that I think your family will love (although it is a little further) is Teapot hill in Chilliwack. It’s a hike through a forest where lots of people have hidden teapots, so you can search for the tea while you walk…
