Had Travel Plans for 2020? …and Then Corona Happened

Like many people all around the world, we had hoped for an amazing year full of travel. We were planning to have a month-long road trip through Europe, relax under the sun in the Caribbean, spend a few weeks in Alberta, Canada, and enjoy tons of all-summer hiking through Beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Only to see it all burned to pieces. This sad situation doesn't stop us from having a bit of fun though: here we have collected many travel jokes and memes to reflect what happened and how we feel about it.

How badly do I need a holiday? Really badly.

With all our travel plans for 2020 already cancelled, I lay awake at night dreaming about where I could have gone…

.

Yet what I want and what I can do in current situation is drastically difficult! One thing I can definitely do about my cancelled travel plans is to joke and meme about it!

As may of my readers I am for sure irritated that my trip got cancelled… if that wasn't enough trying to get the airlines to refund your tickets for lost travel is no joke.

How Is Travel Industry Holding Up Anyways?

The global pandemic crisis has certainly affected the tourism and hospitality industry the most. Airlines and cruise industries are struggling to survive, and many workers have lost their jobs. Yet again, humour is going to save our sanity! Here are some corona-related funny travel memes and travel jokes:

First of, a huge word of Thank You to all the travel agents, booking agents and customer service agents that are still working and making our travel rebooking, cancellation and refunds happening. At times confused and angry travellers can be hard on you, they may feel that you don't care, they may dump their own frustration on you and even personally blame you for their travel situation due to the world corona crisis.

I hope everyone is safe and the pandemic is over soon. Still the world of travel will likely never be the same again. Let's try to imagine how it all going to look like for us moving forward through these hilarious travel and outdoor memes, travel jokes and funny quotes
